I've always loved color. Color has energy for me, and when laying it on a white canvas magical things happen. Using vibrant oil pigments from the start creates the inner glow of my natural landscapes, taking them to an unexpected place. Orange curtains of color seen through trees or flowing lavender water pleases me. 
Waterfalls, meandering streams and Lake Michigan inspire my work, especially how they change as often as the sky. Capturing it in its many forms is challenging and satisfies me once I have it right. This kind of striving is why I paint. 
My hope is that one of my pieces takes your mind's eye on a journey. Enjoy.
